New Booking End-to-End Flow

Create bookings through the real app flow so schedule, status, logs, and payment can stay consistent.

Roles and Estimated Time

  • Roles: front desk / owner
  • Time: 3-8 minutes

Entry

Booking Overview -> New / Booking Calendar -> empty slot popup -> Create Booking / Home Quick Action -> New Booking

Before You Start

  • Confirm the current salon and that target technician(s) are schedulable.
  • Confirm customer identity with at least name or phone.
  • Confirm block slots and external events are already synced for the day.

Steps

  1. In Create Booking, set Customer (or quick-create in selector).
  2. Add service items via Add service, assign technicians, and verify each item setup.
  3. Select Booking Time and verify the slot is not blocked or occupied.
  4. Add notes and optional coupon (+ Select Coupon) when needed.
  5. Check Booking Summary (service fee, total, estimated duration), then tap Create Booking.
  6. After success, verify new card appears in overview/calendar and opens correctly in Booking Details.

Acceptance Checklist

  • Booking has customer, services, technicians, and time fully set.
  • New booking starts as Pending and payment as Unpaid.
  • Activity log shows creation action and operator.

Key Notes

  • App modes also include Edit Services and Convert to Booking for existing records.
  • Services, duration, pricing, and item order are saved together at submission.

FAQ

Why is the slot not selectable?

It is usually blocked, already occupied, or outside technician/salon working hours.

Booking created but not visible in calendar.

Check current salon, date, technician filter, and timezone date boundary; then refresh.
